I'm Herb Silva, author of the Genealogy book, "Son of Nordeste," which comprises my research into 18 generations of my ancestors. I'm now available to perform genealogy research for you. With over 30 years experience digging into genealogical records, I'll help you find your ancestors and preserve their stories for future generations. I am most experienced in tracing European and Azorean family ancestries, but can trace your roots anywhere in the world and deliver your predecessors' stories to you in a priceless family keepsake.
My Story
I've been passionate about genealogy for decades. Having traveled all of the world with the United States Air Force, I became intrigued by my own family ancestry while posted in the Azores, the home of my ancestors. I wanted to give my children and grandchildren the gift of a clear record of their genealogy, and better understand their history and rich cultures. Over the years I began helping friends and other extended family delve into their histories, and gradually expanded into full time genealogy research. I've become an expert in tracking down detailed family records utilizing the vast resources available on the internet. I speak multiple languages and can obtain and translate copies of original documents for your personal archive. Now retired from the Air Force, I am eager to help you share in the joy of discovering the richness or your family history and how that history may have contributed to who you are today.
